This is 'Waiting Just for You' a few years on: knackered; sleep deprived; skint; lost identity.... but with two beautiful kids. It's all about trying to live in the moment and making the most of life regardless of the circumstances you find yourself in.

It was written not long after my gran died at 84. She was a great auld dear and had a great lust for life. Not long before she died she got refused entry by the doormen of a show in Blackpool after they searched her bag and found she was trying to smuggle in a bottle of whisky. I remember picking her up once at her sheltered housing flat with all our her old buddies sitting outside in the afternoon sun. They were clothed in their pastel, autumnal tweeds when out steps 'Aphrodite's Granny' looking like she had stepped off a yacht in the Aegean.

She liked to travel right up until her death and the last verse was written with her in mind. She had lost so many body parts by then she was lighter than her hand luggage.
